Book Review - Beyond Layers

 

The Pillars of Hercules by Paul Theroux

This is a very special book.  It was given to me by my sister some years ago.  It is the book I am currently reading.
The inscription on the inside bears a date in 1998  and the name of a dear friend of hers who sadly passed away.  He was a librarian and a great lover of books and someone very special in her life.  She has many books of his which are so precious to her.
Reading this book gives a beautiful insight into the countries around the Mediterranean which is a place I love to travel to.
This is an amazing book and one I shall treasure always
