This was a real challenge for me to take a self-portrait and to look for the beauty that is not in apperance but in the very substance of our being - in our inner self.
People mostly judge us by how we look but the thing that really matters is how we live our life and how we treat others.
I took this at work on what is my 57th Birthday. I did alot of thinking about the past today and look forward to embracing the future
I took the shot in instagram on the iphone and added the texture 'happy heart' by Kim Klassen.
I added a gaussian blur and masked from the eye area to emphasis that our eyes are the windows to our soul
